Cameron Bradley Stark, 18, died suddenly while playing basketball on August 4, 2011 at 1:00 a.m. while at his maternal grandparent’s home in Gonzales, Louisiana.
A service to celebrate Cameron’s life will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion with Pastor Doug Lowery officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. A time of visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Cameron was born May 8, 1993 in Decatur, IL the son of Bradley Stark of Mt. Zion and Michelle Morris Stark of Louisiana. He was raised by his father Brad and attended Mt. Zion High School. He worshipped and was baptized at Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Decatur, IL. Most recently he was a senior at St. Amant High School in St. Amant, LA and played on the high school basketball team. Cameron worked as a waiter at “The Cabin” restaurant and regularly attended the Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge, LA. He enjoyed playing video games and training in Tae Kwon Do. Cameron always had a positive attitude and was a very forgiving person. He made friends easily and loved his dog Dusty.
He is survived by his father: Brad Stark of Mt. Zion, mother: Michelle Morris Stark of Louisiana; beloved sister: Brittany Stark of Mt. Zion; grandparents: Denise Stark Bowers and Steve of Mt. Zion; Bill and Mary Kay Stark of Palm Coast, FL., and Dave and Beverly Morris of Gonzales, LA; uncle: Wes (Traci) Stark of St. Peters, MO; cousins: Sydney and Mia Stark, and great grandmother: Doris Bowers of Decatur.

The last time we were with Cameron was several year's ago at the family New year's Eve dinner, and Cameron was full of joy and the life of the party. I will always remember him as an energetic and loving kid full of life. He will have a special place in all of our heart's forever.
